Civil Litigation

These are other lawsuits, not involving family matters, or personal injury matters. Perhaps you are a potential Plaintiff in a suit, to enforce a contract, or perhaps someone has sued you, asking for a monetary award against you.

Because this area is very broad, I need to consult with you about your specific matter, to not only see if it is a suit that may be filed, but to see if it is a familiar area to me.

Some examples of civil cases I may take are:

  1. Enforcement of a contract;

  2. Suing or defending someone in a tort case, such as assault or fraud;

  3. Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) cases – when a merchant uses deception to a consumer, resulting in a loss of money or property (ex. a car dealer selling you a lemon)
