Personal Injury
If you have been physically injured
because of somebody else’s mistake, you have been
wronged. Not only have you had to deal with the pain
and inconvenience of your injuries, but may face a mountain
of medical bills, many of which you may have to pay
out-of-pocket.
Also, you may be faced with permanent
ailments as a result of your injury, and these ailments
may affect your future health, happiness, and ability
to earn money for your family. All because of someone
else’s mistake!
Unfortunately, the Court cannot erase
the past, and make your injury go away. However, it
can order that the liable party, or his insurer, make
you as “whole” as possible to the way you
were before the injury, by paying you money.
Insurance companies have hundreds of
employees, and large law firms, whose primary objective
is to pay you as little money as possible to compensate
you for your injuries. You need an aggressive attorney
to evaluate your case, and get you the highest monetary
amount that you deserve.
I will consult with you regarding the
facts of your case, obtain all the evidence in your
favor (including medical bills, accident reports, proof
of lost wages, and photographs), and make a written
demand to the defendant, or his insurer. Often, an amount
can be negotiated, and the case is settled without the
need for proceeding to trial. Other times, you may need
to argue your case to a judge or jury, to get the maximum
amount of compensation for your injuries.
If you have been in an accident, or
have sustained an injury, seek medical attention immediately.
Gather as much information as possible regarding the
injury (such as an accident report, pictures of your
injuries, pictures of your wrecked vehicle, or what
caused your injuries), and most importantly, do not
make any statements to any insurer, without first consulting
an attorney.
Do not allow the insurance company
to bully you, and short-change what you may have coming
to you. The insurance company will give a more favorable
result for your case, once they know you have employed
an attorney.
