Christopher M. Jones was born in Dallas, Texas. He grew
up in Mesquite, graduating from North Mesquite High
School in 1992.
From there, he attended Stephen F.
Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where
he graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
After graduation, he attended the Texas
Tech University School of Law In Lubbock, Texas. He
was actively involved in the school’s moot court
and mock trial competitions, and was given the Jurisprudence
Award for Constitutional Law (highest grade in the class).
He obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in May of
1999. In November 1999, after taking the Texas Bar Exam,
he became an attorney licensed to practice in the State
of Texas.
In early 2000, he began practicing
in Denton County, at the law firm of Minor & Jester.
From the beginning of his practice of law, Mr. Jones
was actively involved in litigating cases in the courtroom.
In April 2002, Mr. Jones opened a private
practice in Denton, and continues that practice today.
Mr. Jones is a member of the State Bar of Texas, licensed
to practice all types of law. He is a member of the
Denton County Bar Association, the Denton County Bar
Association Plaintiff’s Lawyer’s section,
the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association,
and the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s
Association.
